Lighten Up Lancaster - Mobile Markets

Lighten Up Lancaster is proud to partner with SACA to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to local communities with limited access. This initiative was launched shortly after the Lancaster City Council passed an ordinance to allow the sale of food products by individual street vendors. Currently, SACA is open for business Wednesdays from 9am-2pm.

Mobile Markets are incredibly important in supporting our mission, as well as giving low income families the ability to purchase fresh produce in their neighboring communities. Ease of access is the most common barrier and SACA aims to change that.

At this point, LULC is in search of partners interested in hosting a mobile market at their place of business or those willing to become vendors. LULC offers marketing and promotional services to any interested parties at no cost, including social media support. For more information, contact Beth Koser-Schwartz.

Lighten Up Lancaster County Coalition is a group of concerned individuals, organizations and employers, in partnership with Lancaster General Health, who want to increase the number of children and adults in Lancaster County who are at a healthy weight.
