Are you looking for a chance to showcase the health-focused leadership of your company or organization? The Lighten Up Lancaster County Coalition, in partnership with the Tobacco Free Lancaster Coalition and the Lancaster Health Improvement Partnership, are rolling out an exciting new opportunity for Lancaster County companies to display their well workplace initiatives. In an effort to make health and wellness a priority in the workplace, the 2013 Well Workplace Award has been created to recognize those companies who have incorporated wellness into its corporate plans. The goal of this award is to create a culture of wellness that is accessible to and practiced by all companies in Lancaster County. This award wishes to recognize your company for advancing the mission that encourages employees to live healthy and productive lives at work and at home.

There is always room for growth and improvement in your company’s efforts to improve the lives of its employees. This annual award should not only be considered as an opportunity to award your current status and efforts over the past year, but to also understand the areas of employee wellness that you company can improve in, through a comprehensive evaluation in key wellness-related areas. In this way, there is continual advancement in the health and well-being of Lancaster County’s workforce from year to year.

Lighten Up Lancaster County Coalition is a group of concerned individuals, organizations and employers, in partnership with Lancaster General Health, who want to increase the number of children and adults in Lancaster County who are at a healthy weight.
